SAINT RITA OF CASSIA
SAINT RITA OF CASSIA
Santa Rita de Casia, a sculpture of great devotion, attributed to the Palmero artist Juan Manuel de Silva Vizcaíno, comes from the extinct Dominican convent of the female branch of Santa Catalina de Siena, very close to this place, where she was worshipped on her altar around 1730 by the wish of Fray Juan de Guisla y Acuña.
