PAINTING OF THE VIRGIN OF LA MERCED WITH SAINT RAMON NONATO AND SAINT MARIA DE CERVELLÓN

In the chapel of Santo Tomás de Aquino is the painting of the Virgin of La Merced with San Ramón Nonato and Santa María de Cervellón, commissioned by the Van de Walle Cervellón family as a public display of their kinship with Santa María de Cervellón, founder of the female branch of the Mercedarian order. It may be the work of the Palmero painter Juan Manuel de Silva Vizcaíno from the first half of the 18th century.
